Dr. Krump

Dr. Krump has been with River Road Veterinary Center since May of 2016.

A recent “empty nester” she came here for a fresh opportunity to grow her skills with our state of the art medical, dental and surgical practices. Recently she is excited to have begun studies in ultrasound diagnostics.

Born and raised near Chicago, Amelia began working in veterinary hospitals at the age of 15 and continued to work in the field throughout her schooling. She received her DVM from the University of Illinois in 1987.

In her career she has done a variety of interesting work: Rehab of Wildlife, Owning The Berkshire Cat Hospital, working full time emergency in the Boston area, caring for a wolf pack in Otis MA, practicing at The Animal Rescue League of Boston. For the previous 10 years she was practicing general medicine and surgery at the Enfield Animal Hospital, many of her loyal clients drive the distance to see her.

She currently lives with her critters: a siamese, an aguti mackerel tabby kitty, a black short hair kitty and a fuzzy red dog. Her two children have recently flown the nest and are happily pursuing their futures in Massachusetts.

She loves all things “nature” especially hiking with her sweetheart and her dog in the forests of New England.
